Dr. Blackhurst obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina. Afterwards, she studied Pharmacological Sciences at Rutgers University and received her Master of Biomedical Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Blackhurst then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia, again graduating Summa Cum Laude. Following dental school, Dr. Blackhurst completed her three-year residency training in periodontics and dental implant surgery at Tufts University in Boston, MA, again graduating Summa Cum Laude. She remained in Boston after graduation to practice for several years.
Dr. Victoria Blackhurst is originally from Greenville, Delaware and has recently moved back with her husband, Dave. She comes from a family of dentists where her passion first began. Her favorite procedures are gum grafting and treating gum disease.
Dr. Blackhurst has also served on many local and international projects that provide dental care to patients in often remote areas with limited access to medical and dental care. Project locations include Panama, Jamaica, Louisiana, and Appalachia.
